The more time you spend at "The Church", the less effective we become in the world, because we are relying on others to bring new people, or for new people to just walk through our doors to have an impact.
Last night from Riverview we had the first of ourmonthly prayer meetings. I had the privilege to help run an be are part of it and it went amazingly well. There was about 130-150 people, which was more then we expected. We had different stations through out the church that focused on certain area's of prayer, worldwide, personal, others focused, local church focused and confession.
It's great that the church is wanting to develpo a prayer culture, something that has been lacking but it is awesome that it is now here. I would have to recommend it to everyone, even if you don't call Riverview home, because its just people giving thanks, as a community as a church, to a God who so so much more worthy than our praises and thanks can give.

i haven't really known what to post over the last few weeks, so i thought i'd just say something for the sake of it being midnight.

I saw Bryce Green's documentry tonight called "Child in Charge" focusing on the child headed household's in Rwanda. Men and Women who during the time of the genocide in 1994 were just children 12, 13 year olds. When there parents and other older relatives were killed they took over as guardians of there younger siblings, some as young as 1 year old.
They have experienced life's harshest and most brutal realities yet have an astounding faith, a praise and thanks for the Grace of God that they are still alive and are able to look after there brothers and sisters. These children have put aside there own education and well being to look after there young ones.
The fact that they have so much hope is an inspiration, and the fact that the country is uniting for reconciliation is remarkable. od is always in the picture you just have to choose to actually see him there.
We are blessed to be a blessing to those less fortunate, and i thank God that i am in this predestined position to make an impact in this ruined world. That as long as i put my trust in God i can give hope through God's truth, God's Love and God's compassion.
I seem to have so much going through my head that i can't put it into words, because God is bigger than words.
Christianity to me is living a life of Faith through obedience, which i struggle to do, which is why i'm so glad that it is not by works that i am saved but by faith.
We are ment to live big lives, live out the big dreams that God has given us and use those spiritual gifts inside of us to make and impact, and line oursleves up with the life and path that we were always ment to live, the life that is in the image of God himself.

So Started Leadership college this week and the journey that God's called me on.. It's exciting to know that God has faith in us to do the things on this earth that he did and even greater. I struggle with the idea with what will happen in the future by going in this direction of ministry but I realise it not in my on strength but through Gods. Life on earth is not to be worried about when we can focus our eyes on God and the rewards he has for us in this life and in the next.
